Check out the 7 movies to release for Pongal 2017
Article posted on 20 December 2016The festival weekend of Pongal has been queued with several movie releases announced one by one in the last week. Earlier only Vijay’s Bhairava was slated to hit the screens on January 12 but now in a flash of a moment, almost 7 films have been fixed to clash with it.
Those include GV Prakash Kumar’s action comedy Bruce Lee, CV Kumar - Kalaiyarasan’s romantic thriller Adhe Kangal, Arun Vijay's medical thriller Kuttram 23, Jai's comedy flick Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal and Krishna's romantic thriller Yakkai.
The latest addition to the list are two movies, Vijay Sethupathi’s much expected psychological thriller Puriyatha Puthir and Arya’s action adventure Kadamban. As for Puriyaadha Pudhir, it features Gayathrie opposite the Rekka actor and the trailer released was critically acclaimed by the movie buffs.
On the other hand, Kadamban has Catherine Tresa playing the leading lady and this flick has also been praised for the actor’s performance. Apart from them, the makers of Suriya’s Singam 3 are also waiting to announce the release date which is also most likely to join the Pongal race.
