Vijay Sethupathi’s Puriyadha Puthir out of Pongal race ??
Article posted on 12 January 2017One month back, there were almost 10 films queued one-by-one to release this Pongal. This festival weekend marks a humongous 5 days holiday weekend and most of the movie producers & distributors have all been eyeing to cash in their best for their ventures.
But looks like only Vijay’s Bairavaa an Shanthanu Bhagyaraj’s Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga made it to the last and released successfully on January 12 worldwide. Among the other listed 8 movies comes the Vijay Sethupathi starrer, Puriyadha Puthir which has backed out from the Pongal race.
Speaking about the same, the distributor Dheepan Bhoopathy shares that due to unavoidable circumstances, Puriyadha Puthir had to postpone its release date. The makers are now looking out for a new date and will be announced shortly.
This psychological thriller has Gayathrie (plays a violin teacher) romancing with the Rekka actor for the second time. Directed by Ranjith Jeyakodi and produced by JSK Sathish Kumar, Sam CS has scored the tunes.
