Suriya's sci-fi thriller 24 which released on May 6 had a good run with the actor donning triple roles. It became the second highest opening grosser in the three day weekend next to the magnum opus Baahubali. Suriya's villain role, Athreya had been applauded very much for his effort and perfection in the characterisation.
Now the latest news is that this Vikram Kumar directorial has been selected to premiere at the Third Silk Road Film Festival in China on September 23. This prestigious Film Fest screens this film under the Media Honour category thereby becoming the first Tamil film to enter the International Film Festival. It is a rare honour for the team who had worked hard for this time travel flick.
Meanwhile we also hear that there will be a sequel to this flick, 24 Decoded shortly. Hope the team successfully make up to showcase the sequel at an International arena. Last year during the Second Silk Road Film Festival held at Fuzhou, China on September 26, Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar had won the Best Actress title for her performance in the film Nil Battey Sannata.
