The yesteryear Kollywood actress Sridevi is honoured with the award for outstanding achievement in Indian Cinema at IIFA. The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Awards are one among the prestigious awards given to honour the professional excellence in Bollywood. This year the ceremony will be held at Madrid from June 23 to June 26 for four days.
The lady is about to fly for the Spanish Capital in a week's time to receive the award. The previous recipients of this award include VK Murthy, Rekha and Yash Johar. Not to mention the diva has acted in all the four South Indian cine industries including Hindi. She made her acting debut in 1975 in the film Julie followed by over 100 films in her career of 40 years.
Her outstanding performance can be noted in movies like Sadma, Mr India, Lamhe, Chandni, Chaalbaaz, Khuda Gawah and English Vinglish. The 52 year old lady’s latest movie was Puli alongside Vijay which marked her comeback to Tamil cinema. She has been recognised throughout the country for her contribution towards cinema.
