Kangana Ranaut is having her next heroine-oriented script to be Simran directed by Hansal Mehta in which she plays the titular role. She plays the character Simran, a Gujarati girl who wishes to fulfill her mother’s dreams but end up losing everything in her life. The movie is completely based on the real life incidents of Sandeep Kaur, a nurse turned bank robber.
Kangana will have to learn the dialect of Gujarati and also watch the director’s must watch film Ketan Mehta's Bhavni Bhavai and few other renowned plays. After the lady is ready, the filming will take place at few places in Gujarat and the rest in US. Places like Atlanta, San Francisco, San Jose, Las Vegas and Los Angeles were scouted by the team for a lengthy 70 day schedule.
Simran will portray Kangana as a Gujarati in California with a mix of Gujarati and American slangs in the spoken language of the actress. The director shares that it is the most expensive film of his career and the first movie to be shot outside India. The lady is expected to join the sets once she completes Vishal Bhardwaj’s Rangoon.
