Aashiqui 2 had been a blockbuster hit in 2013 with the couple Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor sparkling as a romantic pair on screen. While they had moved on to film OK Jaanu recently, the producer Mahesh Bhatt of Vishesh Films has come up with the idea of making the third installment of Aashiqui with another sensational couple.

It's none other than Sidharth Malhotra and Alia Bhatt, the Kapoor & Sons pair who are in talks with the producer. Earlier there were rumours that they both have signed the dotted line. But Mahesh Bhatt cleared the air recently that they are just in talks to feature in it but not yet officially signed in.

Regarding the script, he shared that it is almost ready and after fixing the leading actors it will run on floors later in this year. While Mahesh is not revealing more details on the project, Siddharth had leaked recently that the script work requires more time and the movie is likely to run on floors by next year. Sidharth is also having the idea of crooning a song in this flick. Let’s wait till we get further official confirmation and will update on it.
