Boys 2 to come soon !

Director Shankar had always been a forerunner of the coming-of-the-age movies in 2003 itself when he gave ‘Boys’. Now the team is going to get back again for a sequel with the reunion of the Boys gang. The movie marked the debut for all the top actors at present, Siddharth, Genelia, Bharath, Thaman and Nakul.

Thaman has turned out to be a successful music composer after this film and now, after 13 years he had shared about this news. But this time there would be Siddharth and Nakul doing the lead roles and Thaman will only compose tunes and will not act in it. It is likely to be helmed by the debut director Mahendran Rajamani.

He had already worked as an assistant to director Amudhan, the maker of Thamizh Padam. He has also worked as co-director in movies like Vallavanukku Pullum Aayudham and Inimey Ippadithan. Vansan Movies which produced Sethupathi is expected to bankroll this project and will go on floors from June. Other details regarding the female lead is awaited.
