Superstar to play Ponniyin Selvan stage drama
Article posted on 22 March 2016After taking charge of the Nadigar Sangam, Vishal and his associates held the 62nd Annual General Body Meeting at Loyola College, Chennai on March 20. They agreed upon raising 26 crores to construct a new building for the Association which is expected to fetch them 6 crores of revenue per annum.
The so proposed building will comprise of a 1000-seater auditorium, a preview theatre, 2 wedding halls: a big one and a small one, administrative office, a gym and a dance school. So in order to raise the funds to build it, there were many ideas put forth. One among them is the celebrity cricket league to be held on April 17 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk.
Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan have both agreed to stay all through the day to attract as much viewers as possible. Already the satellite rights for the event was sold for 9 crores. Another step taken by the Association is a stage drama on Ponniyin Selvan to be played by top actors and actresses.
The interesting addition to the drama is that Superstar will be a part of it. It has been a long time since we have seen Rajinikanth doing the stage play and it would definitely attract a good number of audience. Apart from these, they are also having the idea of making a movie with Vishal, Arya, Jiiva and Karthi in the lead roles.
