Last Friday, Lyca Productions, the company funding Rajinikanth's movie "Vettaiyan," announced that actor Amitabh Bachchan had joined the film's sets. Pictures of both actors were posted on Lyca Productions' social media accounts.
"Vettaiyan" is directed by TJ Gnanavel, known for directing Suriya's "Jai Bhim" (2021). Lyca Productions captioned the photos, saying, "The Titans of Indian Cinema! Superstar Rajinikanth and Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan visit the sets of 'Vettaiyan' in Mumbai, exuding their unmatched charm.
In addition to Rajinikanth and Amitabh, the cast of "Vettaiyan" includes Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Rithika Singh, and VJ Rakshan in important roles.
Filming for "Vettaiyan" began in October last year. The movie features music by Anirudh Ravichander, marking his fourth collaboration with Rajinikanth after "Petta," "Darbar," and "Jailer." The rest of the technical team includes cinematographer S R Kathir and editor Philomin Raj. The film is set to be released in theaters this October.
