However, in the last thirty years, their onscreen paths have rarely crossed. Excitingly, recent rumors indicate that this dynamic duo has now joined forces for an upcoming project. According to the latest reports, Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan will be collaborating once again after a hiatus of 32 years.
Following the completion of his films 'Jailer' and 'Lal Salaam', Rajinikanth is set to commence work on the next project helmed by director TJ Gnanavel, titled tentatively as 'Thalaivar 170' as it marks Rajinikanth's 170th venture. Notably, this upcoming film will feature Amitabh Bachchan in a significant role. Interestingly, reports suggest that the project was initially offered to actor Chiyaan Vikram, known for his role in 'Ponniyin Selvan.' The shooting for 'Thalaivar 170' is scheduled to commence later this year.
