Director Vetrimaran has become the talk of the town in Tamil cinema following the release of his highly-praised film 'Viduthalai 1,' starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi. The movie has left audiences eagerly anticipating its sequel, 'Viduthalai 2.' Meanwhile, fans have been eagerly waiting for the past five years for Vetrimaaran to fulfill his promise of making the sequel to the cult classic 'Vada Chennai' - 'Anbuvin Ezhuchi.'
Vetrimaaran recently attended the audio and trailer launch of Raghava Lawrence's forthcoming movie 'Rudhran,' produced and directed by Five Star Kathiresan. It is worth noting that Vetrimaaran made his directorial debut with 'Polladavan,' which was produced by Kathiresan.
During the event, Vetrimaaran confirmed that he will be filming a few scenes for 'Viduthalai 2' before moving on to the highly-anticipated 'Vaadivaasal.' The latter stars Suriya and is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu. To the delight of the crowd, Vetrimaaran announced that he will then shift his attention to 'Vada Chennai 2' before the end of 2024, and assured them that the film is definitely happening.
