Drishyam, the remake of Malayalam Drishyam is prepping up for the release on July 31. The makers and the actors of the movie are busy in promoting it while it has got its censor certification recently as U/A. A scene involving a slap by the male police to the protagonist wife, Shriya Saran during the police investigation is said to have cut by the censor board though it was allowed in the Malayalam and Tamil versions.
But the Hindi censor board presided by the chairmanship of Mr Pahlaj Nihalani is clear on the scene that it is a violence against women and doesn’t want it. He has also insisted to mute some of the harsh words in the dialogues. In response to these changes, the filmmaker Viacom18 said that they were happy to make the cuts as suggested.
