Drishyam was successful in Malayalam starring Mohanlal and similarly Papanasam by Kamal Haasan in Tamil. Now the Hindi version will be made by the director Nishikant Kamat that will star Ajay Devgn, Ishita Dutta, Tabu and Shriya Saran and will be named same as Drishyam.
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has also portrayed a simple man role in the direction of Ashutosh Gowariker in the movie Pardes in 1997 that gave a commercial hit. But will Ajay Devgn taking over this type of role be welcoming by the Bollywood fans is a big question.
Unlikely according to the director, Ajay Devgn seemed to have readily surrendered for the role. It will depict a common man’s life who is yearning to protect his family and not any action of Ajay as in previous ones. The hero had worked on his looks, clothings, cycle he use and everything will give a different image of him.
