Ayalaan, also known as Ayalaan – Destination: Earth, is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language science fiction film helmed by director R. Ravikumar and produced by Kotapadi J. Rajesh under KJR Studios. The ensemble cast includes Sivakarthikeyan, Rakul Preet Singh, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, Bhanupriya, Yogi Babu, Karunakaran, and Bala Saravanan, with Siddharth lending his voice to an alien character. The storyline revolves around four friends' efforts to assist an extraterrestrial being in returning to its home planet while being pursued by a group of hostile scientists aiming to thwart their mission.

Originally announced in October 2016 under the working title SK14, signifying Sivakarthikeyan's 14th lead role, the film's official title was revealed in February 2020. Principal photography began in June 2018, predominantly in Chennai. However, due to financial challenges, actors' commitments to other projects, and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, filming faced delays and finally wrapped up in early January 2021. Additional photography was conducted in November 2022. Notably, the movie boasts a musical score by A. R. Rahman, cinematography by Nirav Shah, and editing by Ruben, featuring a record-breaking 4500+ visual effects shots, setting a new benchmark for Indian cinema.

Initially slated for a Diwali 2023 release, the film's unveiling was postponed due to pending post-production tasks. Its current release date is set for January 12, 2024, coinciding with the festive week of Pongal.
