Thozha is a 2016 Indian Tamil Comedy and Drama movie. Thozha (English: Friend) in Tamil, is an Indian Tamil dramedy film directed by Vamsi Paidipally. It is the official remake of the French film The Intouchables (2011). the film features Nagarjuna Akkineni and Karthi playing the male leads, while Tamannaah plays the female lead. Slight differences exist in the supporting cast between both versions. Gopi Sunder composes the film's music. The film was released worldwide on 25 March 2016 to positive reception from critics and audience as well.

Vikram Aditya (Nagarjuna Akkineni) is a billionaire quadriplegic down the naval of an accident. He runs a big business and is assisted by able managers and a secretary Keerthi (Tamannaah), but he is looking for a good caretaker who can spice up his sad, lonely, boring life despite having everything. Sreenu (Karthi) gets released from jail on parole. Seenu's mother (Jayasudha) disowns him as she feels he is a bad influence for other kids in her middle-class family.

Meanwhile, Vikram interviews dozens of men, each one more boring and pretentious than the previous candidate, and finally, he selects Seenu who wants a job that will show him as a do-gooder. Sreenu is awed by the palatial house and Keerti. Seenu’s careless attitude and liveliness wins Vikram’s heart big time and changes his life completely. But life can get pretty tough as it induces problems into Seenu’s life through his personal problems. Rest of the story is as to how both these characters fight their problems and stand for each other in life.
