Even Tamil film industry has protested against state and central government. Tamil film industry has passed resolutions for ensuring Cauvery Management Board. Rajini, Kamal, Sathyaraj, Vijay, Suriya, Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan, Vairamuthu, Ilaiyaraja, RK Selvamani and many others took part in the protest. The South Indian Film Artistes Association organized silent protests in Chennai against the Central Government's failure to set up the Cauvery Management Board.
Silambarasan chose not to participate, and instead voiced his displeasure in a press meet at his T Nagar residence. The actor said he doesn't believe in silent protests. 'Silence isn't an option for anything. We need to talk it out. Also, I must confess I wasn't extended an invitation,' he added. The actor also explained why he chose to move away from Twitter.
