Sources say that this will make Mersal a product rather than a film. The producers wanted to treat this as a product and the procedure took nearly 6 months to get it done. This will ensure that no other products or services make use of this title for their brand promotions. In that case, the concerned proprietor or firm should share certain percentage of profit or revenue with the producers.
Mersal is planned for Diwali release and it will be very soon having the teaser unveiled.
