Actor Shirish, who made an impression with the gritty thriller Metro, is currently working with Jackson Durai director Dharanidharan on Raja Ranguski, a murder mystery. Now, the actor is changing track, and working on a village-set comedy says Shirish, "The film is a rural entertainer. It will be directed by Ramesh Bharathi, who was the editor of Metro. I play a guy who works in the local sandhai in the village."
Malayalam heroine Mrudula Murali, who has acted in Fahadh Faasil's Ayal Njanalla plays as his pair, while Arundhati Nair of Saithan fame plays the second female lead. A host of comedians, including Sathish, Yogi Babu and Sentrayan are also part of the cast.
Dharan will be composing the music for this film, which will go on floors on August 2.The shoot will take place in and around Kumbakonam and Karaikudi.
As for the title of the film, he remains tight-lipped and says, "Director Venkat Prabhu will be revealing the title this morning on his social media page."
