‘Imaikka Nodigal’, a thriller film, has a multi-star cast including Atharvaa, Nayanthara and Raashi Kanna in crucial roles. Bollywood’s ace director Anurag Kashyap is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema as a lead antagonist.. Anurag Kashyap who loves watching Tamil films, shares a friendly bond with director Vetrimaaran. This will be his first ever Tamil venture that he is being cast.
Ajay Gnanamuthu of ‘Demonte Colony’ fame is the director of this film while C J Jayakumar has produced this film under his banner ‘Cameo films’. Cinematography is handled by R D Rajasekhar and the music for the film is composed by ‘Hiphop Tamizha’ Aadhi. The shooting for this film have been shot in locations such as Chennai and Bangalore. The team will later shoot their next schedule in Chennai and in other parts of India.
When quizzed about his role in Imaikkaa Nodigal’, Anurag Kashyap talks about his role Rudra in delight. So what’s special in this role which makes him happy? Anurag says Rudra doesn’t smoke, drink or controls his subordinates just like a typical antagonist in the films. He continues and says Rudra is scary, smart and cunning enough to induce fear in the minds of audience. Interesting!!
Anurag Kashyap is delighted to be a part of this film and appreciates the young talents involved in this venture. Rudra role was very impressing for Anurag for which he didn’t give a second thought in doing this antagonist role in his very first debut in Tamil. He also appreciates cinematographer Rajasekar, whom he knows for a long time while working for A R Murgadoss’s ‘Akira’.
The crews has already completed their three schedules and are waiting to complete the remaining two schedules, so it will be wrap up of schedules by April.
