Remember the ‘Dangal’ girl, Fatima Sana Sheikh, who won accolades for her impressive performance in portraying Geetha Phogat’s journey as a wrestler in the film. Dangal was the 2nd Indian film to reach the 700 crore club.
Fatima was waiting for the right role and she landed up as a leading protagonist in the film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’ casting Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan in the multi starrer film.
The film is written and directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya who previously worked with Aamir Khan in ‘Dhoom 3’. Aamir sports a beard & a turban for this film and it is also said that the film is based on the novel ‘Confessions of a Thug’ written by Philip Meadows Taylor. The plot involves a glimpse at the life of imposing con artists and thugs who stole from the travelers in India during the period of 1830s.
Previously it was rumored that Alia Bhatt may represent Fatima’s role, and then it was told that Shraddha Kapoor might a part of the team. Later it is Fatima Sana Sheikh who bagged the role, to be a part of this prestigious multi-starrer.
