Warner Bros Pictures are distributing their first ever Tamil film titled ‘Kanavu Variyam’ directed by debutant Arun Chidambaram and produced by DCKAP cinemas. The movie plot revolves around ceaseless power cuts and electricity scarcity across the villages in India. The film has already won recognitions and received several accolades from the international film festivals and bagged 6 international awards including 2 ‘Remi awards’ at World fest Houston, ‘Special jury award’ in National film science film festival and competition in India, ‘Official selection’ at the 19th Shanghai International film festival, ‘Best music video’ for the song ‘Kalla Manna’ at Los Angeles film and script festival and ‘Official selection’ in International Motivational film festival held at Rostov, Russia
This film has won 7 international awards and 15 international honors from 9 different countries which is touted to be a commercial entertainer. The movie cast includes Arun Chidambaram and Jiya in lead roles while Ilavarasan, Black pandi, Yog Japee, Prof.Ku.Gnanasambandham in pivotal roles in the film. The music for the film is composed by Shyam Benjamin whose song ‘Kalla Manna’ from the film has won huge credits. The director is already excited about the movie’s recognition and considers as an honor to be associated with Warner Bros Pictures in distributing their film.
