Prakash Raj’s Sila Samayangalil directed by Priyadarshan has gone places to several film festivals even before its theatrical release. Previously it was nominated to the final round of Golden Globe Awards at an International arena followed by screening in Film Festivals at Mumbai, Kolkata and St.Louis.
The latest news is that it was screened at the prestigious 9th Jaipur International Film Festival. This social drama about AIDS awareness had also won 3 awards: the Green Rose Award for Best Film with a Global Message, the Yellow Rose Award for Best Upcoming Release and the overall Award for the Best Film from the Asian Continent.
This flick made its entry on the Opening Night on Jan 7 and the lead actors of the film had an artist's meet in the next day. The team of Prakash Raj, Shriya Reddy, Ashok Selvan among others were present. Next to that, it took the platform at the Chennai International Film Festival and was premiered for the first time in Tamil Nadu. Produced by Prabhu Deva Studios and Think Big Studios, its release date is likely to be announced by the end of this month.
