Vadivelu signed for Vijay 61 ??

While Bhairava is getting ready to release this Pongal, the plans for Vijay 61 are taking place simultaneously. To be directed by Atlee who earlier helmed the blockbuster Theri, the makers are onto finalising the female lead for this flick. Kajal Aggarwal is the top contender for pairing up with Vijay for the third time after Thuppakki and Jilla.

Meanwhile we hear that Vadivelu has been signed in for comedy relief. The combination of Vijay with Vadivelu has been more than entertaining in movies like Friends, Bhagavathi, Vaseegara, Pokkiri, Villu and Kavalan among others. Vadivelu has been the current sensation with his comeback in Kaththi Sandai followed by signing other movies like the one with GV Prakash Kumar.

Even for Theri, the character of Motta Rajendran was supposed to be played by Vadivelu but was bagged by the former since the Vaigaipuyal couldn’t allot dates. The final announcement of the cast will be out shortly before the movie rolls out in a couple of weeks. To be bankrolled by Sri Thenandal Films, the Baahubali writer KV Vijayendra Prasad has penned the script along with Atlee for this film.
