Vishnu Vishal's period drama Maaveeran Kittu which released on December 2 was acclaimed for its powerful message on casteism prevailed in the 1980s. The critics praised its plot except for the slow pacing screenplay which seems to have lost its focus. The director Suseenthiran is said to have reworked on its screenplay even after its release and a newer version of it was seen in theatres from December 8.
Looks like the second half has been modified for bringing about the engagement into the storyline. Some sources report that certain scenes which are said to be moving slow are trimmed for this purpose. Bankrolled by Asian Cine Combines and distributed by Nallusamy Pictures, the makers are happy about its altered screenplay.
Starring Vishnu Vishal opposite Sri Divya alongside Parthiban in a pivotal role, Imman's tunes are said to have given soul to the film. Not to mention Soori is a part of the cast for the comedy relief from time to time along with Harish Uthaman and Kasi Viswanathan in supporting roles. Among all of them, Parthiban is said to have delivered his role effortlessly with conviction.
