Filmmaker Tony D’Souza who was known for helming the controversial film Azhar with Emraan Hashmi is set to produce his next project in a humorous way. Some reports suggest that he is going to make a light film inspired from classic comedy movies of 1980s like Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro from the acclaimed director Kundan Shah.
We hear that the plot of this film would revolve around the life of a youngster who has the fear of women calling him brother but desperately looking for a girl to marry. Tony has approached Rajkummar Rao and Shruti Haasan to play the leading roles in this flick and exact details on whether they are board are not yet revealed.
This would be the first time pairing up of the Aligarh actor with Shruti who was last seen in Rocky Handsome earlier this year. Shakti Kapoor and Rajesh Sharma are also likely to be a part of the film.
The pre-production works like scripting works are currently going on at a fast pace and once the cast is confirmed, the team is set to commence the filming from December at Lucknow. To be directed by newcomer Ajay Panwala, the shooting will end before February in next year and is eyeing to release in June, for the Summer 2017.
