The Tollywood film Kumari 21F is on cards to be remade in Kannada and was launched recently with a small puja. To be directed by Sriman Vemula, an Associate Director with Annapurna Films for 9 years, this flick is bankrolled by G.Sridhar and A.Sampath Kumar under Hayagreeva Chalana Chitra banner.
Pranam Devaraj, the second son of Kannada actor Devaraj is making his acting debut through this film. He will be paired opposite Nidhi Kushalappa who is reprising the role played Hebbah Patel. The event took place at Kanteerava Studios, Bengaluru and was attended by prominent celebrities like Shiv Rajkumar, Vijayendra Prasad, Sukumar and Surya Pratap, the director of the original version.
The film is presented by Sukumar under Sukumar Writings and he directed the first shot of the film. The puja lamp was lit by Shiv Rajkumar, the first clap was given by Vijayendra Prasad while the camera was switched on by Surya Pratap. The regular shooting will commence from September first week with the main leads.
