The sequel to the 2006 thriller Thiruttu Payale is on cards to be made by the production house AGS Entertainments. Archana Kalpathi of the banner has recently tweeted that they are proud to bankroll this flick, their 19th venture which will be helmed by director Susi Ganesan. In fact the first installment was the production no.1 for AGS, 10 years back.
The director has also not given any hits after this film and hence the idea of making Thiruttu Payale 2 is serious in the initial stages. Also this time the leading actors would be Bobby Simha and Prasanna. The National Award winning actor has been doing well now-a-days in roles with negative shades. He will be replacing Jeevan's role as in the original flick.
Prasanna would reprise the role played by Abbas and the makers are looking out to rope in a suitable, bold female lead as the heroine. It was Susi Ganesan who gave chance for Prasanna to make his Kollywood debut in 2002 in his movie Five-Star and they are uniting after a gap of 14 years.
Speaking about the script, the director says that he will be incorporating several new technology oriented crimes in this thriller and how people use them to cheat others. After the completion of the pre-production stages, the film will run on floors from September month in a foreign location.
