The Bollywood film Queen which fetched Kangana Ranaut the National Award for Best Actress and Best Film is on cards to be remade in Tamil. Veteran actor Thiagarajan has bought the South Indian remake rights to make the movie in Tamil & Telugu simultaneously. The movie is a heroine-centric subject and the plot revolves around two leading ladies.
Few sources report that the Nayaki actress Trisha will bag the opportunity. Other names like Nayanthara, Samantha, Tamannaah and Shriya Saran are also rounding the reports. Hope Trisha does justice to the Queen role with her exceptional performance.
Also in the remake version, Suhasini Maniratnam will be penning the dialogues and is expected to be at the peaks of woman power. Surprisingly, yesteryear actress Revathi will be helming the flick who has directed movies like Mitr, My Friend and Kerala Cafe. The script works have been completed half way and the shooting will commence from October or November month.
Being the producer, Thiagarajan might rope in his son Prashanth for a pivotal role in the film, most likely the negative role played by Rajkummar Rao. The official news on the project will be arriving shortly. Queen is about the female lead going for a honeymoon alone after being deserted by her fiance, breaking her world open.
