We have reported few weeks back that the Tamil remake of the Kannada blockbuster Shivalinga is on cards. Director P.Vasu who made the original film will be helming this flick which is touted to be Chandramukhi 2. Featuring Raghava Lawrence as the male lead, the director’s son Sakthivel Vasu will be playing a pivotal role in it.

Ritika Singh of Irudhi Suttru fame has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Lawrence. This would be the second film for the professional boxer in Kollywood who is gifted with excellent dancing skills. Apart from them, Vadivelu who played the comedian in the first installment of Chandramukhi has been approached to play the same in the sequel. The news has been confirmed from the director that Vaigai Puyal will be making the second comeback in his film.

Vadivelu has already signed with Vishal in Kaththi Sandai to reenter as the comedian rather as the lead hero. Produced by Trident Arts, S.S.Thaman will be scoring the tunes. The pre production works are all wrapped up and the shooting is about to begin from July 14 in Chennai followed by places at Bengaluru, Mysore, Mumbai and other parts of India. To be made in a grand scale, this horror is eyeing to release for Pongal 2017.
