With 1 day left to hit the screens, Dhanush's next production Amma Kanakku is being promoted by the team members. Being an official remake of the Hindi film Nil Battey Sannata, the director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari shares that it was Dhanush who chose Amala Paul to reprise the role played by Swara Bhaskar in the original film.
Indeed the Thalaivaa actress is a real performer and she could do what is wanted for the role. The lady had also done her part best and worked really hard with conviction doing justice to the role. Even Ashwiny, the Bollywood director had no idea of entering Kollywood without the motivation by Dhanush. Produced by Wunderbar films, Samuthirakani plays a pivotal role as a school teacher and yesteryear actress Revathi as Amala Paul's mother.
The story of the movie is an emotional plot about the struggle of a single mom to provide education to her girl child. Isaignani Ilaiyaraja has composed tunes and is is another pillar for the film's impending success. This weekend we have the release of Amma Kanakku on Friday along with a comedy drama Raja Mandhiri and an action flick Metro starring Shirish, Sendrayan and Bobby Simha in lead roles.
