The Maari actor is a busy man now-a-days with a bunch of movies in his hand. Last year marked a slow start but eventually he picked up the speed in 2016 by shooting for Durai Senthilkumar’s Kodi, Prabhu Solomon’s Thodari and the latest one was Gautham Menon’s Yennai Nokki Paayum Thotta. Apart from them, he also had a Hollywood debut film pending to kickstart.
His long awaited project Vada Chennai with Vetrimaaran has been delaying as Dhanush was busy with these commitments. Finally a green flag has been given to Vetrimaaran and his team and the shooting has commenced successfully on June 22. A large set has been erected at Binny Mills to shoot for the first schedule.
To be made as a trilogy in three parts, it was earlier rumoured to be made in two installments from the director and as a condensed single part from the producer Lyca Productions. Now the filming of Part 1 has been started as announced by the actor in his Twitter handle. The cast has promising members like Samantha as female lead, Daniel Balaji playing the antagonist, Samuthirakani and Andrea Jeremiah in pivotal roles. Santhosh Narayanan is roped in to compose tunes.
