Akira release preponed: Check out the new release date
Article posted on 21 June 2016Sonakshi Sinha starrer action film Akira is in the post-production stages and has been initially slated to release on September 23. But the actress tweeted recently that the release date has been preponed by two weeks on September 2 along with the teaser poster of the film. She plays the titular role and the movie has got a tagline ‘No one will be forgiven’.
Directed by A.R.Murugadoss, he had transformed the lady into a different personality for her ‘Akira’ role and can't wait to see her performing on screen. It is the second time she has collaborated with the Kollywood director after Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. She has canned several action sequences on her own with special martial arts training and intense workout for her fitness.
Akira is the remake of the Tamil movie Mouna Guru and it has been made in Hindi as a woman-centric film.The actress's father Shatrughan Sinha will play a pivotal role along with the ace director Anurag Kashyap, Konkona Sen Sharma, Urmila Mahanta, Mithun Chakraborty and Amit Sadh in supporting roles. Raai Laxmi will be seen in a cameo appearance thereby making her Bollywood debut.
