Kollywood actress Radhika Apte has been identified for her unique performance on screen by many acclaimed makers in India like Ram Gopal Varma, Sujoy Ghosh and Anurag Kashyap. Her latest movie Phobia and her upcoming Kabali are also adding gems to her crown. To rise her professional career even more further, she has bagged the female lead in a English-Hindi bilingual 'The Field'.
The interesting part in this English project is that she will be paired opposite Hollywood actor Brendan Fraser who is well known for ‘The Mummy’ trilogy movies. The Field is touted to be Indian mafia film and had another Hollywood actor Ray Liotta on board but replaced with Brendan. Directed by debutant Rohit Karn Batra, the shooting for the flick will begin from June 17 in Mumbai and then at New Delhi.
The plot will run around an Indian mafia family fighting an internal battle following the death of the family's patriarch. Fraser will be playing the role of an expatriate gun runner who deals with the Indian underworld and get tangled with the family's implosion. The other members of the cast includes Bollywood actors like Prem Chopra, Ronit Roy, Neeraj Kabi and Vineet Singh.
