Recently we reported that Sibiraj bought the Tamil remake rights of the Telugu mystery thriller Kshanam. Now it's Samantha who will be playing the lead role in the Tamil and Telugu remake of the Kannada mystery thriller U-Turn. Directed by Pawan Kumar, it was released last week on May 20 and garnered positive reviews among the Kannada audiences.

Pawan Kumar will be helming the remake in both the languages with Samantha. It was confirmed by the lady in her social media space. The movie was lauded for the good plot but there were some drawbacks regarding the climax which was described to be not-so-engaging. Hence the team is presently working on making the climax portion more interesting.

The film runs around the unknown suicides of motorists who violate traffic rules at a particular U-Turn bend in a flyover at Bangalore. Being a reporter intern, the female lead (played by Samantha) and a police inspector investigate to find the culprit behind the deaths. The hero to play the male lead role is not yet decided. Meanwhile Samantha will be seen on June 2 in a Telugu flick A..Aa.
