Directed by debut director Sharath and produced by Elred Kumar of RS Infotainments, the movie is not a continuation to Ko. It was reported that this flick is inspired (not remade) from the Telugu film Prathinidhi. Yet the plot will focus on the political issues prevalent in the state. However, Prakash Raj will reprise the same role he played as a politician (Chief Minister) in the 2011 film. The music was scored by debut musician Leon James and the album with 6 tracks was released in September 2015.
