Hrithik Roshan’s upcoming period film Mohenjo Daro has completed its shooting on April 4. Announcing the same through his Twitter handle, the actor has also confirmed the release date to be August 12. It is the Independence day weekend of 4 days and hence the makers have locked it in before hand.
Directed by Ashutosh Gowariker: the Jodhaa Akbar maker, the movie is co-produced by the director’s production house and Walt Disney Studios. Pooja Hegde is playing the leading lady for Hrithik and making her debut to Bollywood. The movie’s plot has been set in the ancient city Mohenjo-daro in the Indus Valley Civilisation in the early 26th century BC.
Music is scored by A.R.Rahman and the first look poster is awaiting to be unveiled soon. We hear that the story will revolve around an orphan who meets a girl at a fair in Mohenjo Daro and discovers that she is the daughter of Kabir Bedi, the man responsible for his father's untimely death. So it is most likely a romance cum revenge drama.
