It has not been even a week after the release of Nagarjuna-Karthi’s Oopiri and within that, the remake rights have been bought by a big house. Karan Johar of Dharma Productions who is topping the Bollywood in making successful entertaining movies had bought the Hindi remake rights.
Most of the remake films from foreign languages seems to have failed in Telugu/Tamil as the people’s perception are different. But Oopiri/Thozha is widely accepted by both the audiences as the movie was made with such modifications to suit our viewers. There is surely a message that the audience can take home from the theatre at the end of the film.
In a recent interview, Nagarjuna shared that it was his lovely wife Amala who suggested him to make the film after watching The Intouchables. So he is thankful to his wife to help him succeed in making this good film. When asked if he would be a part of the Hindi version too, he replied that it is up to Karan to decide that.
The decision on the director who will helm this flick is also resting in the producer’s hands. This French adaptation has grossed about 20 crores in just 4 days in both the states. It is sure that Dharma Production house will bring in big stars and make it a mainstream commercial at an even more larger scale.
