Thodari starring Dhanush and Keerthy Suresh is a society-oriented film with a message to the audiences. The director Prabhu Solomon was inspired from his real life train journey from Neyveli to Ghaziabad in 1991. Those things which he had come across during the journey is what we will witness in this action drama.
But the trip from Delhi to Chennai in the Duronto Express is being filmed here. The plot runs over two days & one night and will focus on a man’s concern for the society. The protagonist Dhanush will be playing the role of a railway pantry worker (named Poochi Appan) and the female lead Keerthy Suresh as a touch up girl for an actress.
Thodari is made in a big budget (40 crores) when compared to the director’s previous films. This flick was previously titled as Rail but to enjoy the tax exemption from the State Government, it has been given with a Tamil word meaning the same.
The cast consists of Pooja Jhaveri, Ganesh Venkatraman, Harish Uthaman, Thambi Ramaiah, Radha Ravi, Karunakaran and many others in the supporting roles. Produced by Sathya Jyothi Films, it is scheduled to hit the screens by May end or in June first week.
