Any gangster film will have either violence or revenge as it's core theme. But Kabali doesn't fall into the same row. It has a different story of focussing on the emotional side of a gangster. Rajinikanth will be seen as a 55+ aged gangster who is in the search of his life that was lost during the past years. So there will be no place for revenge or violence here.
The editor of the film, Praveen K.L. has revealed these details in a recent talk. Presently post production works especially the editing stuffs are going on. The actor’s characterization also matches with the theme as heard by us. He plays a do-good gangster running trusts, without punch dialogues and will be appearing mostly without makeup.
This is not commonly found in any gangster movies of the recent days. However to commercialise the film, there is an element of antagonist and action sequences towards the end. Produced by Kalaipuli S.Thaanu, they tried to release the film by May 1. But due to the TN Assembly elections, they are likely to fix the release date by the end of May.
