Hey Ram released on February 18, 2000 was the film that marked the directorial debut of Kamal Haasan and known for excellent making. After the completion of 16 years, his fans are still celebrating the long forgotten film that was one among the best films ever made in India.
The actor has shared his words through his Twitter handle as remembering those who all helped him make the epic especially Shah Rukh Khan and Bharat Shah, the movie’s co-producer along with the Ulaganayagan.
The role of Sriram Abhyankar, the one who brainwashes the Saket Ram to join them in assassinating Gandhiji was performed up to 90% by Mohan Gokhale. The actor had passed before the filming was completed and has to be replaced by Atul Kulkarni.
It was not less for Atul Kulkarni but if Mohan Gokhale would have been alive, the National Award would be bagged by him instead of Atul. Kamal Haasan also thanks the Maestro Ilaiyaraaja for composing tunes for his masterpiece film after having rescued it from another unconcealed composer.
