Udhayanidhi Stalin starrer Gethu has come out unique in the recent movies with a different script. Running on the hill station at Kodaikanal, the hero plays the affectionate son who wants to stay
away from trouble.
His father Sathyaraj is quite opposite to him who questions injustice and the title well suits his nature. The movie’s plot is how they both get tangled in an unexpected situation. Vikranth plays the villain as the sniper from Indian navy. He has been given a stylish role with only few words to speak.
Looking at the female lead, Amy Jackson plays a Brahmin girl named Nandini who had equally contributed to the first half of the romantic portions. The cinematographer Sukumar has covered well the scenic beauties of the location and given life to the visuals.
Directed by Thirukumaran as his second venture, Gethu is produced by Red Giant Movies and will hit 210 screens on January 14. With low promotions and yet a good story, it is likely to win the hearts of Kollywood audiences this Pongal.
