Endhiran version 2.0 is an upcoming tamil sci-fi film starring Superstar Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson and is being directed by the most sought after director Shankar. It is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster Endhiran which had Aishwarya Rai as the female lead. The film will also feature Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar as the antagonist. Writer Jayamohan has been roped in to take care of the dialogues and Oscar award winners A.R.Rahman and Resul Pookutty will be handling the Music and Sound design respectively.

The film is produced by Lyca Productions who previously produced Ilayathalapathy Vijay’s blockbuster “Kaththi”. It is expected to be made in a record breaking amount budget in the history of Indian Cinema. The film being Shankar’s magnum opus is being shot in 3D and has USA’s famous Legacy effects and Animatronics doing the CG and VFX effects who have previously rendered the visuals for Avengers ,Iron Man etc. The movie is slated for a 2017 release and is going to recreate history worldwide.
