Prem Ratan Dhan Payo sets new records for Bollywood
Article posted on 13 November 2015Salman Khan has given another romantic flick on November 12, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo starring Sonam Kapoor with him. Released in the festive season, the movie’s director Sooraj Barjatya is expecting a lot of return after investing a hefty amount of 100 crores in it.
Luckily, the reviews and the response from the audience was good than what the director has expected. The first day collection itself came to 40.35 crores for only the Hindi version. The Tamil and Telugu versions are to be accounted in addition to it.
This record broke the biggest opening for a Bollywood movie that was previously SRK’s Happy New Year. The tickets were also sold in more numbers for advance bookings and the number of screens is also relatively high over 5600 for PRDP.
