Article posted on 07 June 2024The creators of Indian 2, the sequel to the 1996 film Indian starring Kamal Haasan, announced that a new song, "Kadharalz," will be released today 5PM. They shared this news on their social media accounts.
Directed by Shankar, who also directed the original movie, Kamal Haasan will play the role of Senapathy in the upcoming film. Senapathy is a freedom fighter-turned-vigilante who hunts down corrupt people he thinks are misusing the freedom he fought for.
The film was announced in 2017 but faced many delays in production. Besides Kamal, Sidharth, and Rakul, Indian 2 also stars Kajal Agarwal, SJ Surya, Bobby Simha, Vivek, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Brahmanandam, Samuthirakani, Nedumudi Venu, Delhi Ganesh, Manobala, Jagan, Kalidas Jayaram, Gulshan Grover, Zakir Hussain, Piyush Mishra, and Akhilendra Mishra.
The team behind the scenes of Indian 2 includes cinematographer Ravi Varman, editor Sreekar Prasad, and music director Anirudh. The movie is produced by Subaskaran under Lyca Productions.
Indian 2 is scheduled to be released in theaters on July 12th.
