The writer-director Nithilan Saminathan has shared when his new movie Maharaja, starring Vijay Sethupathi, will come out. It's hitting screens on June 14. This news follows the recent release of the film's trailer. In the trailer, we see Vijay Sethupathi's character, a salon owner, going to a police station to report a missing person named 'Lakshmi'. But when he explains that Lakshmi isn't a valuable thing or a person, the cops are left confused.
Maharaja is Vijay Sethupathi's 50th movie, and it's Nithilan's second movie as a director after Kurangu Bommai. The movie also features Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, and Natty Natraj in important roles. It also stars Abhirami, Aruldoss, Munishkanth, Boys Manikandan, Singam Puli, Bharathiraja, Kalki, Vinod Sagar, and Sachana Namidass.
The movie is made by Sudhan Sundaram under his Passion Studios and Jagadish Palanisamy under The Route banner. It's filmed by Dinesh Purushothaman, with music by B Ajaneesh Loknath and editing by Philomin Raj.
