The creators of GV Prakash's new movie 'Rebel' have released the film's trailer. Directed by newcomer Nikesh RS, the movie also features Mamitha Baiju.
The trailer, which lasts almost two minutes, starts in a college in Kerala. GV Prakash's character, Kadhir, introduces himself as someone from Munnar. He falls in love with Mamitha Baiju's character in the movie. As tensions rise, riots erupt in the college between Tamilians and Malayalis. Politicians exploit the situation for their gain, fueling the conflict to win votes.
Nikesh mentioned that 'Rebel' is a film made especially for Tamil audiences. He emphasized that it tells an important story that remains relevant for years to come.
Apart from GV Prakash and Mamitha Baiju, 'Rebel' also features Karunaas, Subramania Siva, Shalu Rahim, Venkatesh V.P., Aaditya Bhaskar, Kalloori Vinoth, and Aathira.
The technical team of 'Rebel' includes Arun Radhakrishnan as the cinematographer and Vetre Krishnan as the editor. The film has received a U/A certificate from the censor board.
'Rebel' is set to release in theaters on March 22.
