We shared earlier that Chiranjeevi would be starring in a new fantasy movie directed by Vassishta, known for directing Bimbisara. The creators of Mega 156 film made two important announcements on Monday. They revealed the film's title, which is now called "Vishwambhara," and they also confirmed that the movie will be released in theaters for Sankranti 2025. This comes two years after Chiranjeevi's previous Sankranti release, "Waltair Veerayya," which was in theaters in 2023. Additionally, a promotional video for "Vishwambhara" has been released.
The sneak peek video of "Vishwambhara," capturing magical scenes from the heavens, starts with someone closing a box that then falls. The box goes through a dark hole and lands on an asteroid.
As the video concludes, a title card appears. In previous interviews, Vassishta mentioned that "Vishwambhara" aims to revive the grandeur of Chiranjeevi in a fantasy movie, reminiscent of K Raghavendra Rao's "Jagadeeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari" (1991).
It's anticipated to be Chiranjeevi's most expensive film in his four-decade-long career, promising a visually stunning experience with impressive special effects. The movie is currently being filmed in the Maredumilli region of East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh, where scenes not featuring Chiranjeevi are being recorded.
