We shared before that Varun Tej is teaming up with director Karuna Kumar for his 14th film, "Matka," known for directing Palasa 1978.
The makers have now revealed that they plan to start filming in December. The movie stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the main female character, and Nora Fatehi, a Bollywood model, singer, actor, and dancer of Iranian origin, will be part of the film, appearing in both the regular scenes and dance sequences.
The movie creators shared that they're building a huge set near Hyderabad. As they wrap up the planning phase, Varun Tej is getting ready to start shooting next month.
The film features Naveen Chandra, Kannada Kishore, Ajay Ghosh, Mime Gopi, Roopalakshmi, Vijayarama Raju, Jagadeesh, and Raj Thirandas in supporting roles. The music for the movie is composed by GV Prakash Kumar, with Priyaseth handling the cinematography and Karthika Srinivas R. taking care of the editing.
"Matka" is produced by Mohan Cherukuri (CVM) and Dr. Vijender Reddy Teegala for Vyra Entertainments. Notably, it's Varun Tej's first pan-India film, set to be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
