On Sunday, for Diwali, the people creating the new movie Kanguva, with Suriya as the main actor, showed a new picture. The picture has lots of bright colors that suggest a festive feeling. It shows Suriya holding a torch, and behind him, there are men playing kombu like a musical instrument, making fire come out.
Kanguva is a big-budget movie directed by Siva, and it stars Disha Patani as the main actress, which is her first time acting in a Tamil film. In a previous talk with CE (Cinema Express), Siva mentioned, "The movie takes place 1500 years ago and includes things from ancient Tamil culture and other cultures across India. Kanguva is a made-up story set in a pretend world but with connections to real history and facts.
In the movie Kanguva, the camera work will be done by Vetri Palanisamy, who often works with the director Siva. The sets will be designed by Milan, and the editing will be done by Nishad Yusuf.
Gnanavel Raja from Studio Green and UV Creations are supporting the movie, and they plan to release it in early 2024 in 10 different languages and in 3D. This film is Suriya's 42nd movie.
Supreme Sundar will plan and coordinate the action scenes, and Narayana helped write the story. The words spoken by the characters are written by Madhan Karky.
