On Tuesday, the creators revealed the initial poster of Kareena Kapoor Khan's new suspenseful thriller The Buckingham Murders. The movie, directed by Hansal Mehta, is produced by the actress herself in collaboration with Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor.
As per Variety, Kareena portrays Jasmeet Bhamra, a policewoman and single mom who experienced the tragedy of losing her child to a violent crime. She relocates to High Wycombe in England, where she is tasked with looking into the disappearance of a child.
Recently, Kareena shared some pictures from the movie set on Instagram and talked about how she had been waiting for 23 years to get a role like this. She wrote, "Jas Bhamra... Jas was a character I have been waiting to play for the last 23 years, being a huge fan of the detective series genre... watching everything from Karamchand to Helen Mirren in Prime Suspect to Agatha Christie in Hercule Poirot to Kate Winslet in Mare of Easttown, I was just dying to be that detective woman."
The movie had its premiere last week at the 67th annual BFI London Film Festival.
